When To Visit
Birdwatching in the Shire Valley is a year-round activity, but the best times to visit are:

July to December: Peak migration period, ideal for spotting wetland migratory species on the Elephant Marsh

April to September: The cooler dry season, when bird activity in both the park and the Elephant Marsh is high, making for great sightings.
